Junior Leadership
The Grant County Chamber of Commerce is proud to be a sponsor of an exciting program that grows the leadership skills of our future leaders. The program is open to the members of the 2026-2027 Junior Class of Ulysses High School. Over 380 students have completed the class since the 2002–2003 academic year.
Sessions will include informative presentations by a variety of area leaders, tours, panel discussion and dialogue between participants and program presenters. Each session will be held Wednesdays, during school hours. Occasionally the class may begin prior to regular school day hours, however, each class will conclude at the same time as the regular school day. The March class will be an overnight trip to Topeka to learn more about our state government.
Application deadline is noon on Friday, May 15, 2026.
Tuition is $500; however participants are asked to pay only $40, if selected for the class. The remainder of the fee is underwritten by local chamber of commerce investors, interested individuals, and fund raising efforts. A shirt will be provided to be worn with jeans for casual meetings or with slacks for meetings that require a more formal dress code.
We look forward to working with the future leaders of Grant County and thank you for your interest.
