Congratulations to the Historic Adobe Museum with it's display of the 1930's Dust Bowl to Gas Boom. It is one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas History. Thank you for everyone who took the time to vote. Stop by the museum and take a look at the Dust Bowl exhibit.
Congratulations to the new Miss Southwest Kansas, Jennifer Long and the new Miss Santa Fe Trail, Audrey Lamar who were crowned at the Miss Southwest Kansas Pageant on January 7th, 2012. We wish these young women the best of luck as they move on to the Miss Kansas Pageant. We are happy to have you representing Ulysses and Grant County.

Grant County Economic Development, Ulysses, Ks. is looking for a highly motivated individual that has superior organizational skills and is willing to work as a team player. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Chamber of Commerce and city, county and state agencies. Through experience and references, this person should be able to demonstrate self-reliance, dependability, sound judgment and trustworthy character traits.
Required skills:
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Interpersonal relationship skills
•Proficiency with office technology
Preferred skills:
•Four-year college degree in business administration, economic development, public administration or related field or two year degree and two year work experience or 4 year qualifying work experience in economic development
•Experience in organizational management, facilitation, grant writing, fundraising, strategic planning and financial management.
Salary will be based on experience and skill level. This position will remain open until filled.
